This week God has been challenging both my motives and my lack of dependency on Him.

When we come face to face with God, He will not just ask what we did for him but why we did those things. This has really made me search my heart before Ive done street church, destiny's door and piercing the darkness this week.

Matthew 5 v 3 says "blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven". Blessed are the poor (or the beggars) because they get it...they are totally dependent on others for their survival and this is how we should be with God...totally dependent on Him. All resources of heaven are available to the beggar - God has loads for us, all we've to do is ask. Our problem is that we do not see our needs and fail to tap into the amazing things that God has in store for us.

Everyday i need to just remind myself that i am a beggar - that i am nothing in myself and that i need Jesus. And when i humble myself, i know that he will come through for me.
