The highlight of this week for me was last Thursday at Destiny's Door, a ministry set up to help and encourage young teenage mothers. This ministry is run by christians but because it is funded by the state, we are not allowed to talk about Jesus. For the past few weeks at Destiny's Door we have split into small discussion groups to discuss different topics such as self-esteem. This has been great as ive been able to get to know the girls in my group much better as they open up about the different things that they are dealing with in their lives. Last Thursday was so exciting for me because one of the girls in my group gave her life to Jesus that night. It was such a privilege for me to be able to chat with her and pray with her after the meeting, and to hear her cry out to Jesus for his help. She was so relieved to realise that regardless of all the bad things she has done in her life, God has always loved her and always will. This reminded me of what Erwin McManus was saying about Gods unconditional love for us in his book soul cravings. Link to book review
