Mike was born in the United States but moved to Ireland when he was 6 weeks old. His dad played professional basketball in Ireland and now coaches. Mike began playing basketball from a young age and has payed for Ireland as a teenager, traveling all over Europe representing Ireland. Growing up he was one of Irelands top basketball talents. He loves sports in general and also played gealic football in high school and did athletics.

Mike got a scholarship to play college basketball in the U.S. and goes to school at Colby College in Maine. When he is not at school in the U.S., Mike returns back home to Ireland for the summer. During the summer Mike helps out at a number of different sports ministry camps including his dads Christian basketball camp; J.A.M (Jesus and Me). Every summer he looks forward to Teenstreet, Germany where he is a part of the ministry team that runs the sports at Teenstreet.

Currently, Mike is taking a semester out of school to pursue ministry opportunities in Houston, Texas including sports ministry with inner city teenagers. He says its great how his love for sports has opened up so many ministry opportunities for him. Mike is the researcher and editor of yo.ho.sports, look for future blogs from him!
