Well its been 2 weeks since my arrival in the southern south of Houston, Texas. I thought I would share with you guys some things God has been showing me. These are a just a couple of points that have been a factor in my relationship with Christ lately.

'Back to Basics'- Within my quiet time I have begun to focus a lot on His Word and making His Word a bigger part of my daily life. I really need to discipline my minds and equip myself for the constant attacks from satan. I have begun to memorize vesrus again and use these as daily ammunition in my Christian walk. Week 1 was Phillipians 3:13-14 For me this verse works as a reminder that God is not concerned with our sins of the past but rather wants us to put that behind us and focus on the present and future. Instead he would rather see us do what is necessary to push on towards our prize of eternal life.

'Stepping out'- There have been times in my life where God has provided for me to take major steps of growth in our relationship and I didn't take them. These last 2 weeks have been about taking steps of faith and as a result He has blessed me immensly in so many ways. He has shown me, if i take that step of faith maybe not knowing what He has in store for me, it doesn't matter because He will provide and show me each next step, i just need to trust. So far my time here in Houston has been nothing but a blessing and he was rewarded me so much for my steps of faith.

Wed April 12th

Well its been a month since my last entry and being honest that is just way too long a gap between entries! Things here in Houston have been going real well, God is doing some amazing things. Currently yoho sports is involved in organising a 3v3 basketball tournament here in Houston. The tournament will take place at the end of April so you could all be praying for that. We hope to reach teenagers and young adults through this  tournament and I might even be speaking at it! God has provided a  fun and amazing way for us to minister into these peoples lives through this bball tournament! ill keep you guys up dated on how that goes!

 Apart from the bball tournament I have also found myself helping out at  the youth group of the church im going to while im here in Houston. Last week I spoke to them about, how at times we are more concerned about pleasing  man instead of God. My talk focused on the importance of focusing on pleasing God instead of man in our lives.
